How to play
Rules and tips
- You play ✕ and go first; the computer uses ◯.
- On your turn, mark an empty square on the 3×3 board.
- The first to get three symbols in a row, horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, wins.
- If every square is filled with no three in a row, it's a cat's game (a draw).
Tips to play better
- The center is part of four lines: it's usually the best opening move.
- Set up a "fork": two threats at once, which your opponent can't block in a single move.
- On Hard, the computer never slips; against it, the realistic goal is not to lose.
Controls by input type
- Mouse / trackpad: click an empty square to place your ✕.
- Touch (phone/tablet): tap an empty square to place your ✕.
- Keyboard: use Tab to move through the squares and Enter to mark one; a text notice announces each move and the result.
